Howdy!
Catty Noir is finally out and I got my grubby little hands on her! So here is my honest Catty Noir review.

Isn't she fabulous?
Never in my life have I seen an actually fat doll. Sure, we have Abbey and Draculaura, but they're thick thighed with flat stomachs; aka the acceptable fat.
But Catty! She has a belly, big thighs, big arms, and big attitude. When I got her in the mail, I could've cried. Being fat my whole life, I've only ever seen dolls that were of thin to average build. It's so refreshing being a plus sized person and seeing something that actually looks like you. I'm sure Mattel took a big risk making a truly fat doll, but it paid off. We are OBSESSED. So Mattel, let's keep this energy up with even more body types!
Now, onto the doll. I'm not a huge fan of her dress. It's very much a bag dress with little shape to it. The poofy jacket really doesn't add a lot to the outfit, and the boots could have a little bit more detail. I guess I could paint silver accents on the boots myself, but they leave something to be desired.
I love her microbraids, but I wish her entire head of microbraids. Again, I could do this myself. Her hair is very soft and I took it out of the ponytail almost immediately. I'm not sure if it's nylon or saran or poly, but it seems soft and heavy. I put it in a basic braid for the time being - I love braiding doll hair. I did some box and micro braids on Clawdeen, but I'll get to that later.
I decided to take her outfit off and briefly search around my other dolls' clothes to find something else for her to wear. I got some great tips from the MonsterHigh subreddit where other people, feeling similarly about Catty's outfit, decided to re-style her.
Something I did notice when reading comments was that people are struggling to find clothes that fit her - welcome to being fat in real life lol!
I settled on an orange two piece from Poppy Rowan's box and some shoes from one of Draculaura's Skulltimate Secret sets and it looks great on her! I'll probably go with different shoes once I find a better pair, but I honestly didn't look that hard through my doll box. Her tail was fairly easy to work with, the skirt velcroed together above it, so there's just a little hole where her tail can peak out.

Peep Mojo Dojo Casa Ken in the background 👀
Her little cat Amulette is also so cute but I wish the pink boa was soft and not sculpted plastic. It's not removable, either, but I can deal.

Ignore my handy dandy doll opening Xacto knife in the background, but this was her fresh out of the box. So, as you can see, her outfit is cute, but not my favorite. I would love to do something fun and flashy when I have more opportunity to hunt for a fashion pack, but for now, the orange set is a fun and fashionable option.

Aaaand another picture just for fun!
See you soon!
