My 2024 Top Lipsticks

Here we go. My top 5 favorite lipsticks (or lip products) in 2024!

Lipstick's been around for, what, 5,000 years? Nowadays, lipstick is a big deal in the beauty world, with thousands of shades and finishes to choose from. Whether you're into classic reds, bold purples, or subtle nudes - lipstick is all about expressing yourself and feeling confident, no matter who or where you are.

As a long time lipstick lover, here are my top 5 this year. This list isn't in any particular order, so 5 isn't better than 1 or vice versa. I love them all!

1. Fenty Beauty - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

Rihanna's Gloss Bomb is my go to for a plump look. It goes with everything and you can wear it everywhere. I literally wear it to work, professional events, weddings, and out to run errands. Every time I wear it, I get soo many compliments! I actually wore this to a concert the other day and it did not budge (aside from getting my hair stuck in it).

It's plumping so there is a very mild tingle to it, so be warned if you have sensitive skin!

2. NYX - Lip Lingerie

My next go to is NYX's Lip Lingerie in the color "XXTended". This liquid lip is so buttery smooth and compliments nearly every skin tone. I'm olive toned myself and this comes out as a muted berry against my skin, making it an excellent choice for a bit of boldness without having to wear an extreme color. It dries down fairly quickly but doesn't leave you feeling sticky or dry. It also wipes off fairly easily, so remember to check it every so often if you're out having dinner or drinks. But a positive to that - it makes washing your face at the end of the night so much easier!

3. Buxom - Power-Full Plump Lip Balm

Number 3 on my list isn't a lip gloss or a lipstick - it's a lip balm! I have been using Buxom's balm in the color Big 0 since 2018. When I tell you I am obsessed, I mean it. It's also a plumping balm, so it has that nice tingling that makes your lips a little bit fuller looking. This balm also adds a slight glossy sheen to your lips, making it a one and done product. I seriously live by this product. A single tube lasts months, so it's not like other balms where you're replacing the tube every few weeks.

4. NARS - Lipstick in shade Tolède

I got this lipstick as a mini just to try and I love it. It's got a very subtle color against my complexion but it adds just enough pop that I look like I'm wearing something. The formula for this lipstick is so smooth and creamy. It doesn't dry crusty or make your lips feel sticky. This is honestly one of my go-to lipsticks for a professional look. The tip stays pointy, at least for me, so lining my lips is so easy.

5. Nudestix - Intense Matte Lip + Cheek

Coming in at number 5, we have one of my favorite nudes. I really gravitate towards warm colors, and this lipstick looks so good on any skin tone. The jumbo pencil style is really convenient for holding steady for precision. This formula is so creamy and glides on so smoothly that you really only need one swipe per lip. The pencil shape is also so good for precision, so it's a great choice if you like putting it on in the car (while someone else drives, of course!).
